I recently played with some friends, and when I tried to join them, there were many sessions available. I realized that a quality of life feature allowing you to join your friends directly from your contacts might be useful. Personally, I believe this idea is brilliant and would enhance gameplay and overall quality of life without negatively affecting the game.
