Positron Stream? Sadly that is a weapon that shoots a laser in a straight line, so you should use your BBQs and move close but not too much to the comets and shoot at them with your BBQs.

That’s a stupid bug I reported before, but IA didn’t fix it, next time try making it reach 75% damage while it’s up, but for now I don’t know (follow what marksam123 said I guess), if the gap was not in the middle you could’ve dodge between the comets, so either use special weapons or end session or simply die.
Another advice: use Volcanic Chaingun next time at Comet Chase missions because they split up whenever they overheat more if you don’t know, and the amount can be doubled with Bombers too.
