Chicken Invaders Models Remake

Does anyone have issues with the zip? I tried exporting it in my other PC with Win10 but only the folder doesn’t seem to be extracted…

Nevermind, they work now.

Nice I like it

What happen to vf :sob:

Yes, I actually still have these models on my pc, back in the days I used 3D builder.

I had limited to shapes to deal with. So it got downgraded.

Model Idea: Blackhole
You can make a black, stretched galaxy as you did and add a black sphere in the middle

The game actually uses a flat image which makes it doesn’t actually require modelling:

The model idea is something entirely different and this type of blackholes doesn’t actually exist in the game. The idea isn’t bad but I want to finish the remaining models:

  • Hen Solo
  • Rabbit

I plan to send the rabbit model specifically for iA as:

Obviously, it won’t include the fur neither animations.

Finally, Hen Solo is done!

Didn’t turn out to be the same as I expected, mainly due to not being able to make the lighting accurate. But now we’ve almost finished the main models with now only 1 main model left!

The Rabbit Model!

Behind the scenes of making the rabbit model, it’s getting harder than I thought:

I am really happy that you made all those models
We can by far try to animate them too

Most of these models are animated with simple movement or rotation, scale. There are exceptions like chicken wings. Being bent instead of rotated.

I don’t want to derail this group’s topic, but after analyzing it repeatedly, I think I need your valuable opinion. Chickens work excellently in the game and arcade, but in 3D animation, animating current chicken models with more fluid movements doesn’t work very well. For this, it’s necessary to create more animatable faces, and arms and legs that function like real arms and legs.

The following image is an AI-generated concept; it’s not final or the best. I’d like to improve it even further, but I need your feedback first. What’s good? What would you remove? I’m using this design as a reference.

Designing a new appearance for the the expressions doesn’t seem a good idea. We already in game designs, the beak can be the exception for this. Especially as it’s animated using simple rotations.

The reference is not that accurate to the model design, I think it’s better to make the wings, eyes more spherical to be more accurate to in game design, this one feels too far from the style.

The wings are basically 4 stretched spheres connected. What I would want for the new model is to add the feather effect, similar to what Feather Brain has:

I like using realistic textures myself

I agree with you, but I think the style you’re describing would look great in a video game or a new version of Chicken Invaders, but in 3D animation, the original design is a bit stiff. I mean, it’s not easy to animate feathers that are just stretched circles, unless they’re flapping wings. But thinking about a story with a minimum animation level, like Star Wars Rebels, it’s easier to animate wings with features like human hands. I’m aiming for a balance with the original design, but adapting it to be animatable.

Here are some examples I’ve seen:

Well, the wings should be fingers so it can hold stuff, which is also what the original design has.
