Chicken Invaders Models Remake

Update: There’s a chance the reference image won’t load, in case that happened, replace it with this:

Why I see too many likes on this small note?

And.. I can finally say…

The Rabbit model is FINISHED!!

Yes, it’s finally done but how?

Turns out it’s possible to change the fur and what it lands on in Particle Edit mode, this thing works like a comb and it really does its job well.

And for the first time, I can make a color shared across many objects which means making new “breeds” or edits becomes easier, Here’s a pose test which has all fur colors changed and it didn’t take the much time:

And as you noticed, I added the cloth, unfortunately I couldn’t make the basket, it would take more time to do and I wanted to finally finish the model.

And that’s it, what actually took most of the time is retweaking the shape over and over to make it like how actually it’s… That’s it and…

Thanks for Reading!

its so nice

now remodel this

Have a great Applause to @Pinanas   for outstanding workhard as a solo Model maker
where he struggles to make these new models wherever we even cant make a single model but he did a lot of work

Here’s a salute from me

It doesn’t require a remodel, I just moved the beak upwards.

Also as a bonus, I tired to redo the broken break version, it looks weird…

Be glad it’s not in the game otherwise you’d see this…

Also there’s something interesting about these renders, these are rendered in 3D viewer, it has simple lighting, so simple that I can render almost in CI2 lighting, however I couldn’t recreate that lighting in Blender.

Have you tried setting the renderer to Workbench? There’s a MatCap Lightning option which might do what you want. The only caveat is that you have to specify the material colour in viewport display tab instead.

I also saw a message from someone in the past where pure white & pure black colours could not be achieved with Blender. This can also be changed — Colour Management, View Transform must be set to ‘standard’.

Your work is amazing!

Just tried it and it’s no use… It gives me dark results and zero control of lighitng.

I don’t see that option. I saw in Color Management Exposure, Gamma options which do similar to what I want.

I’ll see what I can do to animate this thing while you’re working on the rigs
something I WOULD personally to animate like this one I would say

There aren’t plans to work on rigs soon however these models can be animated pretty easily by rotating or scaling pretty easily as alternative. The only issue would be the wings and body tilt.

and it’s complicated by adding the skeleton to the wings of it

i remember this it was him vs mario.exe the last music one where his gf become a doll by mario.exe right and then he was got killed at the end

Quick Update

After my latest model rework (the rabbit) I decided to make colors changeable across different objects, e.g All combs go red with one change instead of changing multiple ones. So making new simple characters becomes easy, here’s one of them:

Note that I had to go to every single model to apply that change, at least I was able to update some models like CI3 Chick, CI5 “Elmo”/Sarge Chicken

Another thing is that I remade the tongue system that now it’s accurate to the game, I was also able to make the rabbit has the whiskers animation too:

Poses

And finally, I tried to improve Feather Brain as this model was one of the worst to me but now it all changed:

Even though it’s unfinished, there’s at least some parts need to be improved the top feather is made with the hair particle system I used for the rabbit, the feather on body uses scatter on surface modifier.

These 2 made the work faster, but I still need to recheck them. The Eggshell also still needs some improvement, Displace modifer should do the job here. and this is it for now.

The zip has been updated so you can see these changes yourself and that’s it.

A new model is coming… Soon…

wow a planet

a planet

A new object approaches!

While searching around for some stuff to improve my Blender skills, I finally found it. Introducing… Mesh Plane!!

This object is capable of turning images into a mesh I can change its vertices, edges, faces, etc. And best thing, it supports transparency!! Which means…

Turkey Upgrade

Now you see that the turkey finally now has its tail + wings. However I reworked too many stuff for the turkey like head, body details.

One of the stuff which made all of this get delayed are the clothes. Sometimes some pieces clip, look ripped, or anything broken with them. It’s also possible that there are more mistakes already…

Anyway, after I have the turkey done, why not do the chick version?

A “new” model approached?

And here he is, it was a bit challenging to make as some objects like eyes, beak weren’t the same as for normal turkeys. So I had to guess which would iA change, look at the original sprite multiple times.

And here we go, also this model was planned to be made when I was making the turkey model for the first time but I scrapped it because of the tail. Also this model includes the eyepatch and ninja mask like how it’s done with normal chicks.

Speaking of chicks let’s go ahead and see what changes to Feather Brain:

So far nothing changed that much compared to the previous version, all what’s done is the feather hair and this it.. for the model but not this topic.

And now what the previous teaser was for…

That’s right, the planets are now in actual 3D and easily editable however even though it didn’t take much time, it wasn’t easy…

As you see the whole surface is made of a texture with gradients, you see multiple nodes with colors, these are pre set gradients you can use which include:

  • Alien (Default)
  • Earth (Realistic)
  • Earth (Simple)
  • Satellite

Turns out, nodes weren’t that hard, just by understanding a tutorial and applying to it is enough. However these are shader nodes, not geometry nodes.

Creation Details

Still, You can change the heightmap/texture by clicking the arrow in the material properties and select the texture.

For the clouds, here’s what mesh plane starts to work, the clouds texture can be changed like planet surface. Unlike the surface, the clouds have one single color.

The shadow is just made with a single light source + world color, It’s better to set in in a bright color. And now for the atmosphere glow, how was that made?

Basically it’s just a simple mesh plane that have colors changeable similars to the clouds but it always look at the camera no matter what. You may notice that this object has a shape key, this is because when zooming in with the default settings the glow will be separate but with disabling it, it will stick to the planet however there will be no glow in front.

The rings use the same atmosphere object but without making it look at the camera. Multiple versions were made using Array modifer. Sadly I wasn’t able to make variation for rings so you’ll stick around with one shape repeated.

And this is it. The zip has been updated will these stuff I mentioned.

also there are plans for Phoenix model but only if I had a solution to its “hair” as it’s made of smoke particles going up all the time. If anyone have a solution let me know.

And…

Thanks for Reading!

Well, that was unexpected but it’s actually done, even with the hair.

Yep, that’s how it looks like in front, now, how the hair was made? Basically I converted it into volume/smoke and then colored them using nodes. And then finally added a light source for them only.

However there was another issue, the textures. I tried to search for their origin over and over but didn’t seem to find anything similar so I made my own version… Still it’s close enough.

The zip has been updated with this model so you can try it out!

Unlimited creativity! Thank you, Pinanas, for your wonderful work.
