Anyways, the rough idea behind this booster is quite simple: a booster that does not boost your weapon at all, but instead attacks on its own when engaged
Slowly charges up over time; deal damage to enemies with your primary weapon to charge up faster. Once you have enough charge, double tap to instantly consume all charge and release a powerful attack from your booster; how destructive that attack is depends on your power level and the amount of charge consumed. The attack from that booster may also have extra properties on higher charge level:
- Charge level 1: Fires out a beam that deals very high damage to the target being directly hit, and also deals some AoE damage to the target being directly hit and enemies around it in a certain radius
- Charge level 2: Increased beam width. Projectiles being caught in the beam’s path or its AoE will be cleared.
- Charge level 3: Beam can now pierce infinitely; however the AoE attack can still only originate from the first target being hit by the beam
- Charge level 4: All projectiles on the screen will be cleared upon engaging this booster. Also comes with a big blast radius buff to the accompanying AoE attack.
Also automatically discharges this booster if you die while holding enough charge to use it.
Some stuff like concrete values and description aren’t there yet because it’s a WIP :c
