You have to buy them with keys.
Food is instead supposed to be sold at Space Burger stores.

really, thats a first and somewhat unorthodox
Yeah, it’s a bit weird to see the missiles mechanic change after five games but it makes sense since this one is different. Earning missiles by collecting food would make it too easy to get them and after playing for a while you would already have way too many. It’s better to buy them with keys and being able to choose between different superweapons.
